PB Design offers a full range of DC emergency lighting systems, designed and manufactured in accordance with the relevant sections of BS5266, ICEL 1001 and BS EN 50081-1. These systems combine the company's acclaimed constant voltage battery charging technology with a choice of battery types to provide the ultimate assurance of continuous supply to your critical lighting systems.

System options range from fully floating operation, where the lighting circuits are continually powered from the output of the charger / batteries, to non-maintained operation, where the emergency lighting is only energised when the AC mains supply fails. Battery choices available range from cost-effective sealed lead-acid units to maintenance-free nickel-cadmium types.

The DC emergency lighting systems run from 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase supplies, with nominal system outputs of 24, 48 or 110V. Digital metering is standard for battery voltage and charge/discharge current, and an alarm system provides audible and visible indication of faults with a volt-free output to a building monitoring system.

Importantly, PB Design provides a comprehensive inspection, commissioning and maintenance service, in line with regulatory requirements for emergency lighting systems to give peace of mind that your system is always fully operational.
